Use the office review to improve the next template visit
Turn repeated clarification requests into specific improvements in field documentation.
Turn repeated clarification requests into specific improvements in field documentation.
When the office repeatedly asks templators for the same missing detail, the problem deserves a shared review. Simply telling the field team to be more careful does not explain what information was missing or when it should have been collected.
Review a small set of actual jobs
Choose recent jobs that required clarification. Identify the exact question, the time it arose and what information resolved it. Separate missing measurements from unclear labels, unresolved customer selections and site conditions that changed after the visit.
Discuss the examples with both the field technician and the programmer. Agree on one practical change for each recurring issue. That might be a clearer drawing note, a better photo reference or an office confirmation before the visit. Keep technical measuring and verification procedures within the relevant training and equipment guidance.
Check whether the change helps
Review another sample of jobs after the new practice has been used. Look for fewer repeated questions and clearer handoffs, while making sure the technician is not collecting information nobody needs. Record useful examples for training new staff.
Flexijet’s documentation describes measurement drawings with supporting site information. That capability works best within a process that learns from downstream questions. The office review should be a feedback loop that improves shared records, not a scorecard that assigns blame whenever a job requires discussion.
